The Truth Behind Subscribers and Friends on You Tube
Subscribers and Friends are two different things. A subscriber will get your new uploads showing up in his subscriptions list. A friend sends videos he like, that you might like as well weather it be his or something he stumbled upon. With the GetViewed Network, Friends are members in the Network, and subscribers are separate. Build a list of subscribers, yes. But do not put all of your effort into it. The subscribers will only watch your video if it appeals to them.
About the only way to build a lot of random friends and subscribers, is to be active on popular channel comments without spamming. And of coarse, to build "real" friends and subscribers, have a consistent upload schedule that people want to see the next episode to. A friend is made with a friend request within someones channel found in their sidebar, usually on the left, center. Sub for Sub guys will build a subscriber list with you. Will he watch your videos? He might. If someone really likes your stuff and subscribes, he will be more likely to watch your next upload and maybe even tell a friend. The Sub for Sub guys are generally aiming for the most subscribed list, witch will get a mega-ton of views, but it is a shot in the dark getting most subscribed without having an entertaining video or series of videos to get there with.
To build a large subscriber's list will get some views, just don't put too much time in this department. 100 subscribers might get 2 views per upload. However, if you get tons of subscribers, some people will subscribe because you have a lot of subscribers, kind of like how some people decide to watch a video because it has a lot of views. It is a psychology thing.
Final thoughts: Subscribers cant hurt, but they don't help as much as most people think. Friends, however will rate and watch your videos, if they are a friend. The strategy behind friending is to have a ton of friends and when you upload a new video to You Tube, share it with all of your friends so it shows up in their inbox. If you have a million friends, 2% will watch your video each time you share it.
